Orion Landscaping is looking for a Head of Talent Acquisition to join our fast-growing team!  As Director of Talent Acquisition, you will be responsible for defining and leading a full cycle talent management program to support the continued growth of both Orion Landscaping and its operating companies across the country.  The ideal candidate will be a high impact business partner to our operating partners, identifying talent gaps and using creative sourcing tools to attract the right candidates.  You will lead by example, drive change at the appropriate pace, and will be committed to recruiting high quality leaders.

What you are great at:

  • Conceiving and implementing talent acquisition playbooks for fast-paced, high growth companies with evolving talent needs
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to understand the organization’s talent gaps and to prioritize open roles
  • Managing the search process end to end for senior roles such as company GMs, branch managers, and regional heads
  • Utilizing all the tools at your disposal (including, but not limited to, advertising channels, CV databases, social media, career fairs, professional networks, 3rd party firms, and talent acquisition software) to successfully and creatively attract a high volume of candidates into the recruiting funnel
  • Creating and exceeding benchmarks for time to close, new hire retention, DEI initiatives and other identifiable talent metrics

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of retained search or high-volume recruiting experience or similar experience in sales, marketing or talent/HR
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient at pitching/selling via written word and over the phone
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems or the ability to leverage technology to track a high volume of applicants and active candidates
  • Highly adaptable to changing needs of the organization
  • Ability to travel to share best practices and to train a team of local hiring managers at our growing group of operating companies
