ACCOUNTING MANAGER – Potential Hybrid work arrangement
The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Controller and company president. We are looking for a dynamic accounting professional with a proven track record of effectively managing the month end close and excellent on time and accurate financial reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the monthly close process including preparation of GAAP financial statements
- Prepare financial reporting package including metrics/KPIs
- Assist with the preparation of the annual plan and quarterly forecasts
- Monitor A/R, DSO, and assist with A/R collections
- Follow GAAP guidelines for Revenue Recognition
- Ensure Sales & Use Tax compliance with state and local laws and regulations
- Present complete and accurate reports to business leaders with follow up and corresponding supporting details
- Prepare reports, analyses, and insights needed for management decision making
- Ad hoc reporting and development of various analyses
- Develop and implement financial controls and policies & procedures
- Proactively seek process improvement opportunities
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business with concentration in Accounting or Finance (18+ hours of accounting)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and financial experience including 2+ years in a managerial role
- Solid experience with monthly close process, general ledger, and reporting
- Experience with Work in Progress (WIP)
- Experience with Sales & Use Tax
- Microsoft Office suite (advanced Excel proficiency required)
- Strong system skills
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with positive, service-minded attitude
