This role is responsible for all trade marketing programs and strategies across our North America Professional Sales Channel. This person will collaborate closely with ​Professional Sales, Global Marketing, and Retail Marketing. ​The position reports to the VP of Global ​Marketing. 

Core responsibilities – about the role

  • Develop the Trade Marketing strategy and vision for the Olaplex professional sales channel 
  • Partner with ​​sales leads to execute on both the strategy and tactics in support of the professional channel sales goal​s; includes r​regional promotions that fill gaps and/or key account needs
  • Work actively with pro sales, distributors, salon partners, and wholesalers to understand market and key customers’ needs; assist in key presentations and meetings to support brand and sales initiatives/goals. 
  • Ensures the trade marketing strategy ladders up to our overarching marketing objectives, brand DNA and visual expression 
  • Partners with education on trade shows, events to help foster growth and relationships within our professional community
  • Collaborates with the digital media team and agency on media programs to drive consumers to salon, and stylists to the brand
  • Builds highly collaborative relationships with key cross functional groups, which includes social media, influencer, digital, and creative teams 
  • Identify new and innovative strategies that would enhance brand reach/visibility and help meet and/or exceed KPIs
  • Responsible for measuring programs return on investment and ensuring “learnings” are embedded in future programs
  • Share best practices & learnings with other regions as well as the retail, DTC marketing and sales teams
  • Work with Product Development on Pro kits and feedback on Pro-only products
  • Be a strong voice and advocate for Pros within the wider Olaplex Marketing community
  • Continuously monitor Pro competitors’ marketing activities and advise management on key findings and recommendations
  • Analyze and understand third-party and internal Pro market research to find new marketing, communication and claims opportunities

Qualifications – about you

  • A minimum of 8+ years’ experience in trade marketing or sales 
  • Experience marketing to professionals in hair care with a beauty company required 
  • Strong track record of developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned goals
  • Understands consumer insights and aligns all strategies to feed these needs
  • Understands current marketing trends, new media platforms and benchmarking with other industries
  • Strong communication skills: ability to collaborate with and communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Experience managing high-performing teams
