We’re looking for someone whose technical background consists of most of the following technologies (or similar ones):

Responsibilities:

  • Write content for users with varying degrees of technical background who want to learn how Ocrolus works. Our documentation is used by developers, systems administrators, mortgage underwriters, and even our own sales and support teams.
  • Review, cite, and judge adherence to technical specifications. This applies to both internal specs (i.e. our own API) and established standards we rely on (e.g. HTTP or OAuth).
  • Review, revise and improve our existing content.
  • Collaborate with software developers, product managers, writers, quality engineers, and UI/UX designers to develop and review documentation  
  • Incorporate feedback from customers, sales engineers, client onboarding specialists and other teams to improve the overall quality of our API documentation and documentation site.
  • Contribute to Information Architecture decisions and demonstrate an understanding of how readers use our resources to learn.
  • Deeply understand our users needs, and be an advocate for their success

Requirements:

  • OpenAPI (aka Swagger)
  • RESTful HTTP APIs
  • HTML and CSS
  • SwaggerHub
  • ReadMe
  • Git

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, English, Journalism, Technical communication or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in technical writing (especially documentation).
  • Ability to understand and edit code samples.
  • Experience working directly with SaaS engineering teams.
  • Writing samples that exhibit your experience with explaining technical concepts.
  • Fintech or mortgage industry experience preferred.
