About the Role: 

As the Director of FP&A at Novo, you will play a crucial role in shaping our financial future. This position demands a blend of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the credit landscape. You will lead our FP&A function, driving financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes that support Novo's strategic objectives. Your expertise in credit analysis will be vital in guiding financial strategies, enhancing risk management, and fostering sustainable growth.

*PLEASE NOTE: This is an in-office position located in our Miami, Florida office.

Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Financial Planning: Lead the development and execution of short and long-term financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support business goals. Implement innovative financial modeling and analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Credit Expertise: Utilize your background in credit to enhance financial models, risk assessments, and investment strategies. Offer insights into credit markets and trends, influencing Novo's approach to credit management and product offerings.
  • Performance Cadence: Establish and maintain a structured performance cadence to monitor and review business performance regularly. Utilize financial and operational metrics to ensure the business is on track to meet its strategic goals and objectives. Facilitate regular performance review meetings with department heads and senior management to drive accountability and informed decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, department heads, and external partners to align financial strategies with overall business objectives. Communicate financial insights and recommendations clearly and effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing FP&A team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional development.

Requirements for the Role: 

  • 10+ years of progressive experience and demonstrated growth including 6+ years in Finance/FP&A 
  • 5+ years of experience working in Credit
    • Experience working in portfolio management or FP&A for a credit company or bank
  • Experience with a fast-growing company at scale.
  • Proven success serving as a change agent in a high-growth and scale environment
  • High degree of organization and efficiency with demonstrated attention to detail
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail while delivering against tight deadlines
  • Highest of ethical standards, integrity, authenticity, credibility, and character
  • Strong track record of maintaining relationships and communicating with a wide range of partners
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and task

Nice to Have, But Not Required: 

  • Ability to code in SQL & perform data analysis
  • Public company quarterly close and reporting cadence
