About The Role:
We're looking for someone create and champion Notion's growth and lifecycle marketing efforts, helping our users understand and get the full value out of Notion. This is a highly strategic role focused on driving results that contribute meaningfully to Notion's bottom line. In this role you'll build a deep understanding of the customer, from account creation and activation to expansion and upgrades - and optimize key parts of that journey. You'll own messaging across platforms, including email and in-product, and focus on created tailored journeys for all of Notion's segments (free, personal, team, enterprise). A successful candidate will be able to show success driving business results, such as increasing activation or monetization of a customer base. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires a close partnership with our product, data, sales and marketing teams.
You'll be the first person in this type of role, empowered to build the program from the ground up.
What You'll Do:
Deeply understand the Notion customer to understand key points in the customer journey and uncover insights that will drive activation and engagement
Create campaigns that engage, nurture, and grow our user base from signup all the way through monetization
Leverage data to monitor how people are using Notion, inflection points in their experience, and how we can drive activation and engagement
Constantly measure and report campaign performance, rigorously A/B test, and optimize our communications across channels
Partner closely with other teams — including data, product, marketing, and sales — to serve the most effective content possible, share and respond to feedback, and strengthen our customer-facing efforts across the board
What We're Looking For:
You're experienced with freemium business models and a veteran at lifecycle marketing - including impacting activation, upgrade, and retention metrics
You have a track record of successful campaigns backed up by measurable ROI
You can share proven A/B testing strategies that resulted in optimized results
You're fascinated by how people behave in product experiences, and have a scientific mindset about how to make even small changes in decision-making
You have strong cross-functional skills, including working with data, product, content and operations partners
