Job Description:
We are seeking a Junior Network Technician to support our customer's mission. We are looking for an individual who wants to expand their overall knowledge of network infrastructure and components. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for installing network components appropriate for classroom network infrastructure and virtual learning infrastructure. They will be expected to configure, implement, and maintain voice, data, and network communications systems; monitor communication performance using diagnostic equipment and status indicator checking methods; and properly document observed network issues. Required Qualifications:
TS/SCI with polygraph.
An Associate of Science (A.S.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (e.g., General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security). In lieu of a degree, at least two (2) years of network-related experience is required.
Basic knowledge of packet flow analysis, TCP/IP, and basic network services.
A Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT) certification or CompTIA Network+ certification is preferred.
