The Renewal Opportunity Manager (ROM) participates in a virtual account team-selling environment working closely with his/her assigned business unit’s sales team to drive existing renewal opportunities.  In this capacity, the ROM will assume the ownership role for their assigned renewal opportunities while also discovering the identification and qualification of new business upsell, cross-sell and services opportunities within those renewal customers.  In addition, the ROM will facilitate and maintain successful relationships with customers, which will be measured by their reference ability,  customer satisfaction levels and increased annual recurring revenue levels. If he/she is assigned to an Indirect Channel business unit, this role will also be responsible for managing the overall relationships with our Consultants including their renewals and identifying and closing new business opportunities.  

Responsibilities:

Account Management

  • Maintain and enhance key information of all key assigned renewal opportunities and their related account information, including their business profile, key decision makers, competitive landscape, buying processes and compelling events.
  • Within each account, during the renewal opportunity sales cycle, seek to expand and strengthen Minitab’s presence by identifying and establishing relationships with the actual end users beyond the license coordinators and procurement.

Opportunity Management

  • Proactively engage with assigned customers to ensure timely renewals while identifying any potential upsell, cross-sell and service opportunities to increase overall annual spend at time of renewal
  • Understand and communicate effectively all available licensing options and the annual license renewal process
  • Maintain an accurate and timely pipeline of all renewal opportunities within the CRM system with full adherence to the CRM opportunity guidelines.
  • Provide Minitab sales management with accurate and timely sales forecasts within the CRM system to ensure proper visibility for effective resource planning and expense management within Minitab.
  • Leverage and effectively communicate Minitab’s full solution portfolio of products and services to broaden Minitab’s presence and create new cross-sell, upsell and service opportunities.
  • Effectively transition to appropriate sales team members qualified upsell, cross-sell and service opportunities via CRM
