We’re a multiple award-winning employer with an opening for a full-time host to ensure that residents and guests have a positive experience within the restaurants. Hosts greet residents, family members, guests, and/or staff with a friendly demeanor; assist with seating and monitor food service according to dining standards to assure a pleasurable dining experience. Hosts create meaningful moments in the lives of residents, visitors, and staff be demonstrating friendly welcoming behaviors. The successful candidate will be able to handle multitasking, problem solving, and always being a friendly face. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Greets and welcomes residents and guests with a smile and welcoming demeanor.
  • Assists with seating while maximizing dining room space and facilitates timely service.
  • Oversees quick and efficient reset of restaurant.
  • Manages Reservation system including taking and canceling reservations, managing walk ins and waitlist.
  • Creates meaningful moments in the lives of residents, visitors, and staff by demonstrating welcoming and friendly behaviors.
  • Inspects workstation areas for completion of assigned side work.
  • Helps to monitor workflow between service team and production team.
  • Assists with coordination and set up of themed meals and events.
  • Assists with monitoring of safe food handling, proper personal hygiene, uniform compliance, and proper sanitation procedures within the department.
  • Assists Residents with online technology including online ordering, online reservations and online meal plan management. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS 

Required: 

  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to make independent decisions
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable with technology
  • English language proficiency 

Preferred: 

  • 1+ years of experience in a dining service environment 
  • Certification, or ability to obtain certification, in BASSET
