This position is open to candidates based in the Seattle or Charlotte area with a hybrid work schedule of three days per week in office (Tues-Thurs and two days WFH). We are not offering relocation support at this time.

We are seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing technical projects from inception through completion, ensuring they meet our standards for quality and effectiveness. Key responsibilities and qualifications include:

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Clear Expectations Setting: Articulate project goals, timelines, and responsibilities clearly to all project participants to ensure common understanding and alignment. Ensure commitments are met consistently.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across different functional areas to ensure project success and foster an environment of cooperation.
  • Negotiating with Stakeholders: Efficiently negotiate requirements, timelines, and resources with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are aligned with business goals. Is the stakeholder getting as much value out of the project as they can?
  • Social Problem Solving: Resolve social and interpersonal issues within the team swiftly and effectively, ensuring a harmonious work environment.
  • Managing a Large Backlog: Prioritize and manage a significant backlog of work efficiently, ensuring timely delivery without compromising quality.
  • Team Facilitation: Act as a key facilitator for your team, assisting in overcoming obstacles and ensuring smooth project progression.

Soft Skills

  • Human Interaction: Excel in interacting with team members and stakeholders of varied backgrounds, promoting a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Conflict Resolution: Demonstrate strong skills in resolving conflicts efficiently and fostering a culture of understanding and respect.
  • Team Optimization: Facilitate the optimization of team workflows and processes, enabling teams to work effectively and efficiently. Is the team working as effectively as they can be?
  • Teamwork: Working closely with a project management organization to establish best practices at an organizational level. Being an active participant in conversations around project management.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience and Preferences

  • Project Experience: 2-3 years managing projects (formally or informally).
  • Project Management Software (Azure DevOps, Jira, Monday, etc.): Show that you have experience with various project management software tools.
  • Project Management Methodologies (Kanban, Agile, Scrum, Extreme Project Management, etc.): Share your expertise in applying effective project management methodologies and strategies to maintain team alignment and efficiently realign focus when needed.

Technical Qualifications

  • Understanding of Cloud Systems and System Design: Demonstrate an understanding of cloud systems (Azure or AWS) and system design fundamentals.
  • Technical Proficiency: Possess a healthy understanding of other relevant cloud platforms. Do you have experience with Azure and AWS?
  • Compliance: Posses an understanding of compliance. What is SOX, PCI, HIPAA? When would they apply?
