We're seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team and revolutionize our cloud and infrastructure tools. You'll be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure solutions. This role requires a blend of strong technical skills, a passion for automation, and a keen eye for operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing (Job Duties)

  • Infrastructure Automation: Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of infrastructure resources.
  • Backend Development: Build robust backend services and APIs using Python (Django, Flask, or FastAPI) to power infrastructure operations and integrations.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Design and implement efficient CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD to streamline software delivery and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Cloud Engineering: Architect and manage cloud-based infrastructure on AWS and Azure, leveraging services like EC2, S3, Azure VMs, and Azure Storage.
  • Technical Leadership: Mentor team members, share knowledge, and drive best practices for infrastructure automation and DevOps.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.

What We Look for In You (Job Requirements)

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering and backend development
  • Strong proficiency in Python, PowerShell and at least one IaC tool (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Excellent knowledge of Configuration Management tools such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles
  • Deep knowledge of Linux and Windows administration
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated engineering capability and aptitude in how you approach your work
  • Willingness to learn new things, take on a challenge and not be afraid of making mistakes
  • Have effective communication skills that suite a Hybrid environment (active listening, asking questions, open to collaboration, managing up, etc.)

Nice to Have: (Preferences)

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related (not needed but again a nice to have)
  • 7+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • Knowledge of security best practices for infrastructure and applications
  • Experience with frontend technologies (React, Vue.js)
  • .NET development experience (C#, .NET Core)
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience functioning as a mentor/coach on a technical team or a team lead

Salary: $100,00 - $140,000
