What's the opportunity? 🤔

As a customer lifecycle manager at Intercom, you’ll be a key member of a growing team, working closely with partners across Intercom to build, review and implement effective and engaging customer marketing initiatives. You will ensure that every customer has a personalized and relevant experience throughout their lifecycle, from onboarding and activation, to cross-sell, up-sell and retention. You’ll be a guardian of Intercom’s tone and voice, and make sure that every message reflects positively on the company. You’ll partner with other customer-facing teams to understand our customer’s needs and tie them to our business goals through a holistic customer messaging strategy.

What will I be doing? 🚀

  • Be an internal expert on our customer lifecycle
  • Work in partnership with our sales and product organizations to write, build, implement and run effective customer messaging campaigns for onboarding, activation, cross-sell, up-sell and retention
  • Leverage customer data and analytics to create highly targeted customer audiences — ensure that all messages are sent to the right people at the right place and the right time
  • Measure the impact of customer messaging programs, report on findings, optimize existing campaigns and propose new high impact campaigns to build
  • Have a deep understanding of Intercom’s tone and voice and make sure that all customer messages are on brand and well-written
  • Manage our internal Instance of Intercom — partner with Marketing and Sales Ops to ensure data accuracy, audit and improve our current messaging structure, provide product insights and feedback to our product team

What skills do I need? 📖

  • 3-5 years of relevant marketing experience
  • Strong writer with demonstrable experience creating compelling marketing copy
  • Thorough understanding of customer marketing and nurture — experience creating, deploying, and optimizing complex automated marketing campaigns
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within marketing and beyond, including with technical and operational partners
  • Experience with Marketo or similar marketing automation software
  • Clear, thoughtful, and organized communicator
  • Acute attention to detail
