As a member of our IT Client Platform Engineering team in our San Francisco office you’ll keep Gusto employees productive and secure by providing world class technology.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
Working alongside all IT sub-teams to create the best user endpoint experience
Manage our fleet of Mac and Windows endpoints
Create efficiencies and economies of scale by delivering repeatable, automated solutions
Improve the security of our endpoint fleet
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Intermediate knowledge in a scripting language (preferably Ruby or Python)
3+ years professional experience in managing 500+ endpoints (Mac/Windows) with platform-agnostic tools (Chef or Puppet)
Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Comfortable with full-stack projects and able to build proof of concepts quickly
Understands the importance of security and compliance when working with personal data
Passion for exploring new technologies related to platform-agnostic infrastructures
Experience building and maintaining automation pipelines
Proven track record of deploying high-availability systems
Ability to aggregate data from disparate systems to formulate insights on our fleet
Experience working with Munki, Chef, AutoPkg, or DEP
Application packaging for MacOS / Windows
Familiarity with macOS APIs, shell commands or ObjectiveC/Swift
