About the position:

As a Workday Solutions Architect in a fast-growing company, you will have responsibility for supporting the Product Operations, Finance, and HR team in the administration of our proprietary software, as well as the configuration and administration of external software that is integrated with Globalization Partners. We are looking for someone who has experience working with Workday (Finance and HCM) in a medium to large organization. The successful candidate would also have experience with ITSM processes and best practices.

What you can expect to do:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in a variety of strategic and high-impact projects, guiding internal teams and stakeholders through strategic planning, implementation, and stabilization with no supervision. Provide subject matter expertise regarding key process decisions related to industry and areas of expertise.
  • Design, configure, test, and implement business requirements across multiple Workday Finance and HCM module(s).
  • Design, develop and maintain integrations between Workday and other 3rd party applications using Workday integration tools (e.g. Workday Studio, Workday Extend, EIB’s and Core Connectors).
  • You will create and maintain custom reports using advanced, matrix, and composite report types
  • You will support our Workday Security practices and Workday Release strategy
  • You will create and maintain technical specification documents.
  • Manage overall delivery of the project. Provide guidance, instruction, direction, and coaching to team members, regardless of people management responsibilities. Conduct peer review as necessary to ensure quality.
  • Conduct working sessions with stakeholders to gather, understand and analyze business requirements. Assess needs and propose recommendations and/or alternative solutions to meet requirements. Advice on best practices, recognize, and recommend process improvements, and implement system enhancements.
  • Deeply understand dependencies, and integration aspects across all area(s) of Workday to provide comprehensive solutions.
  • Work with clients, Project Managers, and Team Leads to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or Go Live; partner with Project Managers to ensure alignment across project plans.
  • Develop and establish a process to capture lessons learned and implement Workday best practices for key stakeholders.
  • Strive to innovate and suggest new approaches to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively.
  • Contribute to knowledge management repository through formal and informal avenues, such as sharing documented lessons learned, Q&A, documented deliverables, facilitation of Workday knowledge sharing sessions, regularly posting best practices and knowledge sharing information to the team(s) and mentoring and training junior team members.
  • Stay informed with Workday feature releases and be the in-house expert to promote adoption of new features and functionalities.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment that requires tasks to be completed quickly and accurately.
  • Drive Data Integrity and Security initiatives to meet business needs and ITGC requirements.
  • You will improve your own as well as our common ways of working – every day – in candid and passionate collaboration with your team.
  • You will grow your own and our common knowledge of relevant product offerings within the Workday ecosystem.
  • Work with global finance resource specialists and internal teams to own and enhance system configuration and workflows.
  • Evaluate requests to modify existing configurations within the Globalization Partners Platform. Triage, test, and execute the change request.

What we are looking for:

  • BS/BA Degree or higher in Computer Science or International Business
  • 4-5 Years of experience in Workday (FINs and HCM)
  • Excellent written and spoken language skills
  • Quick learner and meticulous attention to detail is a must
  • Experience interacting with people internationally
  • Willingness to work flexible hours across time zones, as required for international business
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and the Atlassian Suite (JIRA/Confluence)
  • Meticulous attention to detail, yet also see “the big picture”
  • Ability to effectively train and provide guidance to end users

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience managing Workday Financials
  • Understanding of Workday functionality and configuration
  • Technical background with experience configuring and managing integrations
