About the Role: 

  • Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the VP, People Operations is crucial in shaping Fetch's future by optimizing PX processes, driving people strategies, and ensuring the organization is built for scale in alignment to the company’s vision and long-term goals. This role focuses on building a thriving culture, boosting employee engagement and turning high-priority initiatives into actionable results.
  • This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US offices or remotely in the United States. Travel is expected up to 15% per year. 

Role Responsibilities: 

Operational Effectiveness

  • Challenge existing operating models for improvements, identify gaps and make the case for change with efficiency and scalability in mind.
  • Identify key performance indicators for the People Experience team; assess the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics. 
  • Create data insights on people trends and apply throughout the organization to drive decision-making and outcomes. Regularly analyze and assess the performance of HR initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of HR systems and technologies
  • Proven track record of creating multi-year HR process and technology roadmaps significantly improving the employee experience.
  • Key member of the due diligence and integration processes for corporate infrastructure.
  • Navigate and manage the complexities of state-specific employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance across Fetch.

Strategic Alignment

  • Develop and execute a long-term vision for People Operations at Fetch, aligning with the PX People Strategy and Fetch’s ambitious business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, areas for automation, and digital transformation across PX, ensuring the organization is prepared to scale successfully. 
  • Lead effective design and rollout of strategic programs in all key areas of HR, such as employee relations, people analytics, performance management, HR systems & tools, compliance, immigration and onboarding. 
  • Drive the organization towards a culture of excellence, preparing leaders and teams to embrace organizational change. Work closely with business leaders to foster an environment where employees feel motivated and engaged, driving high performance in a fast-paced, competitive environment. 

Leadership Expectations

  • Lead and inspire the People Operations team, providing mentorship and fostering professional growth and development.
  • Encourage a supportive, collaborative atmosphere that drives high performance. Effectively delegate tasks while recognizing and celebrating the unique strengths each team member brings.
  • Develop and nurture strong cross functional partnerships, driving business results and inspiring a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Provide strategic direction and support to the CPO on all people-related matters.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational structure, change management and employee development.
  • Operate with the highest level of conduct, integrity, and confidentiality, setting the example for the company.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • 15+ years experience in people operations, with at least 5 years in a management role.  
  • 5+ years experience managing Cross-Functional Partnerships with organizational leaders from Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Finance or Operations in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience leading the selection and rollout of HR technical platforms such as HRIS, ATS, or LMS
  • Ability to connect data to outcomes, measuring and identifying areas for improvement. Utilizes data-driven insights to inform decision-making and enhance HR strategies.
  • Proven track record of delivering People Operations programs that drive value and are transformational. 
  • Ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of stakeholders, including executives, managers and employees.
  • Fosters a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation, ensuring that Fetch’s values are immersed in the employee experience.

Compensation: 

  • At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The base salary range for this position is $220,000 - $280,000. We also offer all employees equity in Fetch, so that everyone can benefit from Fetch’s growth.
