Job Description:

As a SaaS Operations Manager, you will be accountable for the development of processes to manage operations, assist in technical standards development, assist in architecture development, leadership and employee development.  

The role will collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Application Development, Corporate Systems, vendors / service providers, and various infrastructure and operations groups. In this ecosystem, you will create, support and maintain the delivery of Cloud offerings and the Cloud environments they’re deployed in. This is a technically focused role responsible for managing, maintaining, and monitoring cloud-based infrastructure, as well as the teams that work with this technology. 

A key consideration for this role is having the experience in driving through a fast growth phase, helping to transform an enterprise software company to a fast, efficient, world-class SaaS business. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of managing SaaS application including software deployment and upgrades, system setup, system administration, performance monitoring, incident resolution, problem management, configuration and change management, security management and monitoring, capacity planning, availability management, disaster recovery and routine update of services 
  • Oversees and directs the timely evaluation, qualification, and implementation of new software products, tools, and related appliances as it pertains to the Cloud environment  
  • Understands the SaaS application deployed and how it is best managed within the Azure resources it uses  
  • Mange the Operations tools stack, such as Salesforce Service Cloud, Squadcast, Azure DevOps and other Microsoft-based collaboration tools (e.g., Teams) 
  • Must manage the ITIL framework & practices (Incident, Change, Service Request, Problem Management are the minimal set) using tools and governing the process 
  • Professional with experience leading large complex enterprise-wide infrastructure projects/programs with multiple interfaces and/or 3rd parties  
  • Drives the adoption, and articulate the risks/opportunities from leveraging Cloud Infrastructure  
  • Ensures timely liaison with vendors regarding problems, fixes, and required enhancements  

What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ year’s working as a SaaS Operations Manager with demonstrated success in operating mission critical enterprise software services. Experience launching new services and teams a plus 
  • Proven expertise in cloud technologies and platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) 
  • Proven experience in IT Service Management, data center, server, and storage management, virtualization, Citrix, networking, systems management, and/or project management are recommended 
  • 8+ years’ experience in leading and 5+ years managing IT teams 
  • Experience in developing tooling in support of Monitoring, DNS, DHCP, Backups, and Disaster Recovery  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Heavy Azure Platform services experience 
  • Professional certifications in cloud technologies/platforms are highly desirable
