About the role

DV Pinnacle is our self-service platform which encompasses a suite of robust tools accessible to customers worldwide, that allow them to independently perform a variety of workflows ranging from activation to reporting. As the Senior Product Designer, you will report directly to the Director, Product Design of DV Pinnacle products/platform as you design and produce the solutions to support your ideas across wireframes, user stories, journeys, mockups and prototypes across platforms and interfaces that will drive the evolution of DV Pinnacle platform as well as extensions of the platform within third-party and other partner ecosystems. This role will also require close collaboration with other design disciplines within DV to ensure a unified look and feel across other self-serve areas within DV’s larger product suite. 

In this role you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of Product Managers, Analysts, CXs, and Engineers dedicated to the Pinnacle platform, while balancing input from internal business teams (at all levels) and customers directly. You'll have the opportunity to work with a fully integrated group of minds on projects that aim to improve experiences! This role is based in NYC. 

Who you are

  • You have over 7+ years of digital design experience within the digital media, publishing, or Ad Tech industry; or you have worked on product design at the senior or lead level role for digital products within B2B SaaS product companies.
  • Your prior experience has included a focus on self-serve interfaces, automation workflows and data analytics UIs and other data intensive products for global and domestic audiences. 
  • You have a track record of shipping quality and intuitively designed products that delight customers, and are equally skilled at UX, interaction and visual design.
  • You have had a senior or lead role in your past establishing design standards, interaction design pattern library and style guide appropriate for the organization. 
  • You are comfortable and competent with taking vague or high-level concepts or product ideas and transforming them into visuals that can be shared with business-facing teams.
  • You have a history of collaborating closely and efficiently with engineering teams, to ensure your design vision can be implemented, and are able to make appropriate adjustments as needed.
  • You possess a strong understanding of usability and user experience standards, and can confidently speak to your design recommendations/decisions and convince others of your reasoning.
  • While you are responsive to direction, as a Senior Product Designer, you have learned to set your own direction in order to meet co-designed success criteria.
  • You have an online portfolio, or PDF that you can share with us.
  • You are proficient in Figma (preferred) and have experience in enterprise-grade UX design and prototyping tools such as Miro, Adobe CS, Balsamiq, and LucidChart.
  • Bonus: You have served as the senior or lead UX/product designer leading the creation and maintenance of the design system. 
  • Bonus: You have had a solid experience in enterprise-grade site redesign.

 

What you’ll do 

  • Collaborate closely with a cross functional product team to understand and solve complex business and customer problems by designing best-in-class experiences.
  • Create and evolve DV Pinnacle’s design system components, IxD patterns for all self-serve products within the Pinnacle platform and create a cohesive, frictionless user experience across solutions.
  • Apply overall interaction and visual design strategy for extensions of the Pinnacle platform into third-party systems to ensure a consistent experience wherever customers access our product. 
  • Design and recommend visual styles and standards, and work with the customer experience product team to ensure standards and best practices are being adhered to. 
  • Take into account existing insights, technical constraints, business needs, and specific market demands to produce data-informed solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Experience team on activities such as identifying user behaviors, interviews,  focus groups, and usability testing to validate UX design concepts with internal and external customers.
  • Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes, understanding when deeper exploration is warranted and when it is best to change direction or be flexible; deeply understand DV’s business and user needs in order to intuitively make these product design decisions.
  • Create and execute usability tests.
  • Design user flows and human computer interactions.
  • Develop and iterate through low fidelity and high fidelity prototypes, utilizing best in class tools, methods, and design processes.
  • Lead design projects intended for unique audience use cases and markets around the world.
  • Work with small multi-disciplinary teams made up of representatives from engineering, product, product insights, and marketing, among others.

Be autonomous and take full ownership of your work throughout the entire process, from sketching to high-fidelity final treatments.


The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV.
The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between [$102,000-202,000]. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits.
