Position Overview

Daily Harvest is looking for a People Analytics Associate to join our People Operations team. The People Ops team builds and provides support to the Daily Harvest crew by managing hiring programs, facilitating growth and development, and ensuring a safe, positive, and productive work environment. Daily Harvest’s primary focus is on doing good—and this starts with people, whether they are employees, potential employees, or customers.

The People Analytics Associate will support Daily Harvest’s continued growth and scale by maintaining data integrity through people systems + analytics, payroll, and benefits. You will partner with internal stakeholders to ensure payroll is accurate and timely. Additionally, you will focus on building out and maintaining processes that support a successful annual audit.

What you’ll do:

  • Process payroll for all team members; including reviewing and importing hours from timekeeping systems, entering tax and direct deposit information, administering regulatory and state specific requirements, e.g., garnishments, tax levies, and support orders, and other adjustments to pay as necessary  
  • Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with the Director, Talent + Culture to improve payroll processes 
  • Establish workflows + maintain team member records in payroll (PEO: Justworks) + HRIS (BambooHR) people systems, including entering New Team Members into both systems and adding compliance/training courses and monitor completion
  • Administer the time and attendance policy and paid leave policy for all team members in Justworks  
  • Create recurring reports pertaining to people data to support the People Leadership Team
  • Partner with the Finance team to produce end of year reporting and other reporting as requested including documentation for the annual audit
  • Submit EEO-1 reporting
  • Administer all team member benefit programs including enrollments and terminations
  • Partner with the Director, Talent + Culture on evaluating benefit plan design and running Open Enrollment
  • Support administration of COBRA enrollments/changes and responds to and manages state unemployment insurance and claims and workers compensation as needed
  • Manage system implementation, configuration, and testing tasks
  • Ensure accuracy of data through routine data audits and validation
  • Look for opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet business needs
  • Organize and maintain shared People Ops team drive in Google Drive while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
  • Assist with reviewing and writing process and procedure documentation and training
  • Prepare statistical summaries and reports involving payroll information, performance management, demographic data, and other team member data
  • Maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data and reviewing source documents for accuracy and completion of data input
  • Own and support special projects from start to finish
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:

  • 3+ years HRIS and data analytics experience required and 2+ years experience configuring and supporting systems such 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
  • Strong functional knowledge of HR processes and demonstrated ability to define process improvements
  • Ability to effectively document, track, test, and support applications
  • An HR Systems Wiz, highly proficient at working autonomously and navigating new systems with a solutions-driven approach
  • Experience building and growing People related processes + systems at a high growth company or startup
  • Experience running and supporting HRIS/Payroll/Benefits systems/procedures
  • Experience with reporting, analyzing, and communicating people-related data to the technical + non-technical team members 
  • Confident and creative to propose solutions and create new tools such as a People Analytics dashboard
  • Nothing gets past you - you’re detail-oriented and perceptive to a tee
  • G Suite, BambooHR, Justworks experience strongly preferred
  • Results-oriented, takes initiative, and can work independently
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools experience required
