SUMMARY:  Weekend Shift  Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6 am to 6:30 pm

The purpose of the General Warehouse Associate is to understand and execute the goals set by the operations Supervisor and or Lead. The Associate must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure they remain on task, but also with other departments in order to ensure constant order flow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Effectively use systems and process applicable to the functional department
  • Prepare and complete orders for receipt, delivery or pickup according to schedule
  • Maintain quality service by accurately and diligently following set processes and company standards
  • Work individually or within small groups
  • Maintains safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Ensure the proper hand off is given to the following shift
  • Comply with departmental SLA’s
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required
  • Working at or above established productivity standards

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES BY DEPARTMENT:

 ACTIVE DEPARTMENT

  • Learn WM functions pertaining to Active Pick/Pack
  • Understand WIP report and learn different customer buckets on WIP: e. 01, 02, 03, MS and DS, retail, wholesale, and internet
  • Learn picking process/ packing process and SOP’s
  • Ensure that LM / ATM reports are monitored and results communicated to team members (EP%, On Std%, Utilization%, Green Yellow report, Observations)

RECEIVING/CROSS DOCK DEPARTMENTS

  • Ensure POs are received in full and complete
  • Ensure Dock is cleared in a FIFO sequence
  • Ensure Cross Dock tracking #’s are turned into CSRs daily
  • Ensure that LM / ATM reports are monitored and results communicated to team members (EP%, On Std%, Utilization%, Green Yellow report, Observations)

RETURNS DEPARTMENT

  • Ensure customer is given appropriate credit
  • Ensure all cancels are accounted for, logged and processed within specified turn deadlines and reworked to internal specs and putaway within specified deadlines
  • Ensure b-grade SKUs are created and putaway based on b-grade inspection

SHIPPING DEPARTMENT

  • Ensure Canada / Puerto Rico and Hawaii are prepared with all proper documentation and within their required SLA’s
  • Ensure all outbound containers are completely loaded based on their assigned time and windows at least four hours prior to scheduled pickup
  • Ensure all loads in WM are invoiced upon departure
  • Ensure that LM / ATM reports are monitored and results communicated to team members (EP%, On Std%, Utilization%, Green Yellow report, Observations)

RESERVE DEPARTMENT

  • Ensure daily goals for LPN, RPL, and Putaway are met according to daily production plan
  • Monitor and ensure the replenishment team is following best methods and that product gets to final destination location JIT
  • Monitor end caps to ensure aisle maintenance staff is clearing end caps based on availability of space in the active locations
  • Ensure that LM / ATM reports are monitored and results communicated to team members(EP%, On Std%, Utilization%, Green Yellow report, Observations)

VAS & VAS LABEL MAKING DEPARTMENT

  • Ensure and understand how to read and comply with VAS instructions per Customer specific requirements
  • Ensure proper packaging based on QA requirements
  • Ensure that LM / ATM reports are monitored and results communicated to team members (EP%, On Std%, Utilization%, Green Yellow report, Observations)

  • Minimum 9 months of experience working in distribution center operations
  • Can demonstrate knowledge in functional department
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures and operating instructions.
  • Ability to work safely around mechanical equipment
