The Global Trade and Compliance Specialist will work within Crocs Global Logistics and Trade Compliance strategies in alignment with organizational mission and vision. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain key relationships with carriers, brokers, and interdepartmental teams while working collaboratively with internal and external programs and maintaining compliance in all countries, and with all programs, where Crocs imports or exports product or other goods. The Specialist provides support for all business units within Crocs, drives innovation and is proactive in pointing out opportunities for the business by leveraging the Supply Chain worldwide while pursuing opportunities within the Supply Chain in order to improve customer satisfaction, gain market share, and enhance the bottom line.
Provide advice and counsel on trade requirements for major initiatives, including implementation of software and applications/activation of a Foreign Trade Zone
Assist in the review and audit of import shipments and documentation to determine their applicability to the Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ)
Audit FTZ admittances for accuracy to Commercial Invoices, completing error resolution reports, correcting admissions as necessary
Review any discrepancies between the WMS and FTZ zone management system. Resolve receiving discrepancies and inventory variances through review of records and communication with receiving, procurement and shipping on a daily basis
Assist in the preparation of timely filing of all weekly and periodic reports as required with US Customs and the Foreign Trade Zone Board including weekly estimates
Maintain, review, and update trade compliance manuals.
Implement business processes and procedures through automation, when
Partner with numerous organizations within the Company including Legal, Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, and IT to develop and execute defined procedures.
Support export compliance activities such as EAR and ITAR classification, licensing of products and technical data, foreign national screening and licensing (deemed exports), denied party screening, export clearance
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with US and applicable global regulations; conduct Post Entry Audit for exports and imports
Own and ensure documentation is in compliance with government standards
Provide technical and hands-on expertise in the area of daily export and import compliance
Monitor, review and interpret import and export regulations, laws and requirements including participating government agency (PGA) regulations and US and foreign export regulations
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
5 or more years’ Experience in Global Trade/Customs Compliance
Licensed Customs Broker preferred
Experience with Trade Issues for Consumer Products (footwear preferred)
