SUMMARY

The Product Developer will be responsible for the development of new product from initial ideation through manufacturing.  The Product Developer will work with and support the product creation team to develop the seasonal product line and achieve product objectives around aesthetic, quality, cost and fit within the necessary timeline.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage all aspects of the product development process from ideation to commercialization and production
  • Manage the development timeline to ensure key deliverables are met and dates are achieved
  • Manage the sample process, including submitting clear sample request, drive product teardowns within the team, and document and communicate any revisions accordingly
  • Drive team communication regarding the product development status
  • Maintain Product Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Manage costing for products in development and estimate costs for products in design
  • Maintain clear global communication on the status of their product. This includes written, verbal, and system driven communication.
  • Support innovation projects as they transition into products in development

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years of direct work experience, or 5 plus years of product development experience
  • Solid understanding of the product development process
  • Solid understanding of footwear construction and materials
  • Basic understanding of 3D design and development
  • Solid project management skills
  • Be a Problem solver, who can work independently, and deal with ambiguity
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence peers and help set goals and direction
  • Some domestic and international travel may be required
