Our EMEA brand support center in Hoofddorp is looking for a Demand Planner

The EMEA Demand Planner is responsible for delivering timely an accurate Sales and Operating forecast to the supply planning, sales channel and merchandising team. He/she is responsible for the execution of forecasting related activities within the monthly Integrated Business Planning process, ensure support to the business for a profitable revenue growth. This role requires continuous improvement of forecasting processes throughout Europe by using and developing analytical tools.

What will you do?

Demand Planning Process:

  • Responsible for development, maintenance and evaluation of the demand planning processes and methodologies in order to continuously drive improvements to the accuracy of the forecast and the efficiency of the Integrated Business Planning process.
  • Responsible for delivering on time an accurate and high-quality sales and operating forecast to the required stakeholders as part of the monthly Integrated Business Planning Process.
  • Responsible to build Operating forecast (buy plan) as per agreed ST% strategy, DOH, Open to buy and Stock turn metrics to achieve inventory targets.
  • Interface with merchandising team to meet revenue, margin and inventory target. Liaise with supply planning teams to analyze impact of plans to overall business strategy for Europe region.
  • Benchmarking and best practice implementation of tools and process related to forecasting.

Integrated Business Planning Process:

  • Follow the Integrated Business Planning calendar to prepare for each cross functional review (Product review, demand sign off, supply/excess review and regional/executive cycle end review meetings) and to finalize the demand validation.
  • Identify opportunities, initiate activities to mitigate risk associated with demand/supply unmatched, drive solutions thru the IBP process.

Cross Channel:

  • Interface with Merchandising to meet seasonal go-to-market calendar deadlines and performance goals.
  • Proactively work with the Merchandising to understand their key business requirements and improve the inventory level by creating a more accurate forecast.
  • Work cross-functionally to create pre/postmortem analysis of seasonal performance, facilitate the evaluation and analysis of the performance of product sales trend, sales FC and financial target gaps.
  • Work cross-functionally with Merchandising to meet revenue, margin and inventory target.

Process improvement and other support:

  • Drive process improvement throughout the demand cycle execution with metrics including forecasting error, size curve accuracy and purchased excess.
  • Benchmarking and best practice implementation of tools and process related to forecasting.
  • Be an active back-up for other demand planners.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of required standard reporting packages for internal stakeholders.
  • Interface with Corporate team members to support global best practices and process integration.

Who are you?

Minimum Education:

  • Required bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or supply chain related field.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in demand planning.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understanding of inventory management, S&OP, and integrated business planning process.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; must be able to use excel proficiently in order to perform the job effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with eyes for details.
  • Good presentation skills must be able to articulate data within challenging conversations.
  • Comfortable to work in an international environment with different cultures and languages.
  • Understanding of demand planning tools & software (SAP/MRP, O9 solutions is a plus)

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel required if involved in global projects.
