We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer joining the CLEAR Plus Lanes team to test applications that are used by millions of travelers. It is one of the most critical and visible products at CLEAR. Our team’s goal is to deliver a faster, safer, and more frictionless travel experience using biometrics to our users. Every time a user checks in, we match their irises or face to an encrypted code based on their own unique biometrics.
In this role, you will be supporting and working with multiple engineering teams. As a Test Automation Engineer you will navigate CLEAR’s codebase, identify weak spots and constantly design better and creative ways to break software and identify potential problems. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about technology, has an intellectual curiosity, and thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
What You Will Do:
- Plan, develop, and execute manual & automation testing of Electron based web applications
- Use your knowledge to influence better software design, promote good engineering practice, bug prevention strategies, testability, and privacy
- Work with the broader engineering team to create test plans for existing and new functionalities
- Maintain and extend our automation framework to ensure it’s reliable and resilient
- Partner with engineering team to identify use cases that can be automated
- Be the quality gatekeeper to ensure a high quality of releases
- Adhere to best practices for testing and designing reusable code
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience testing JavaScript applications
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining automation test suites using Cypress.io
- Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Passionate about software testing and accelerating the pace of delivery
- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with open communications
- An entrepreneurial team player and know how to multitask
- Have excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills
- Experience writing test cases and test plans based on new feature requirements
