About the role:
Wonder is seeking a dedicated, committed and detail-oriented Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) supervisor to join the team. The FSQA Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Wonder’s food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in food safety & quality management. This role will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and CCPs (Critical Control Points) throughout the food process flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the FSQA Manager to implement Wonder’s FSQA systems, programs, processes, and procedures across the production facilities and distribution hub.
- Monitor and conduct food safety audits of the production facilities at an established frequency to ensure compliance to Wonder’s food safety programs and standards
- Monitor facility GMP compliance
- Monitoring and controlling access to the ware washroom.
- Ensuring GMP compliance- use of PPE, employee practices.
- Observing hand washing practices and course correcting non-compliance by employees.
- Ensuring sanitation and cleanliness on the production floor
- Course correct behaviors that do not adhere to Wonder’s food safety standards and proffer corrective actions in partnership with site management.
- Document and report findings, as observed on the production floor to the FSQA Manager and when necessary, involve Production leaders when compliance and standards are not upheld.
- Report and assist with correcting any unsanitary conditions in food preparation and storage areas, as well as employee welfare areas.
- Ensure production floor compliance, including but not limited to, aligning with various stakeholders to ensure there is a sufficient amount of sanitizer powder and sanitizer liquids present at entry points throughout the facility.
- Monitor and ensure employees make use of the sanitizer foot foamers and units set up at entry points.
- Monitor and ensure that employees accessing the outdoor storage pods and dumpsters remove disposable lab coats, gloves, sanitize boots and wash hands upon re-entry into the building
- Ensure adherence to the employee path of travel by monitoring movement of employees per the established path of travel protocol.
- Handle Environmental swabbing at the production sites as directed by the FSQA Manager. Document, trend results and establish corrective action reports.
- Curate, present, and follow up on Food Safety Trainings that are issued to the production teams.
- Oversee the ATP program and ensure QC adheres to the swabbing routine. Trend results and escalate deviations appropriately
- Data entry of customer complaints- tracking, trending and work with FSQA Manager to investigate food claims
- Assist the FSQA Manager in handling Food Safety training of employees/SOP trainings as assigned and documentation of trainings
- Assist in document control and management
- Assist in review and verification of CCP records, MSS, pest control reports and safetychain reports
- Work with FSQA Manager during mock recalls. Maintain procedures and documentation for product recalls and tracking.
- Work closely with culinary production and QC to resolve food safety related incidents including but not limited to foreign material contamination, receiving process review, temperature monitoring, etc
- Support both the FSQA and Quality Control team where needed.
- Other jobs duties, as deemed necessary, assigned by a manager or Supervisor.
The experience you have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Food science, Microbiology, Biology or other science equivalent required.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in Quality control/Quality assurance, food safety audits of a Food production/Food manufacturing environment.
- HACCP certification is required.
- Knowledge of FDA, USDA, NJ Department of health regulations is a plus
- Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills as well as technical (computer programs like Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Comfort with implementing SOPs and collaborating with others to ensure accountability through strong leadership and communication, both written and verbal
- Efficient working with a diverse group of individuals across all organizational levels
- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize efficiently to meet necessary deadlines.
Salary: $61,000

Monday through Friday; 01:00 PM to 09:30 PM
