About the role
We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help design and implement a tech platform that accelerates application engineers' productivity and operational excellence. As a Senior Engineer on Wonder's DevOps team, you will design and implement tooling and automation that supports every area of our business, from the production of tens of thousands of meals daily, through to delivery to our customers. Ensuring correctness and operational excellence while taking calculated risks is the tightrope we need you to walk to ensure Wonder continues providing top-quality meals, while constantly iterating and improving your systems. You will be a positive influence on the team by providing good examples and leading discussions on topics like: system design, operations, implementation, code quality, testing and deployment. The experience you have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Proven experience in implementing high-quality systems.
- Proficiency in at-least one modern programming language.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Project management experience is a plus.
The way you work
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Making informed technical decisions through collaboration with peers.
- Owning and improving a large body of work, whether through large scale deployments or breadth of services.
- Designing, developing and maintaining a platform to support distributed systems comprised of both synchronous and asynchronous services, and databases with varied consistency guarantees.
- Proficiency in relational and document databases. We are using MySQL, Postgres, Cosmos DB and Mongo DB.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers.
- Working with public cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, GCP.
- Developing in, and building and deploying containers to production.
- A modern orchestration and scheduling system such as Kubernetes.

Base Salary: $210,000 (plus equity)
