About the role

Wonder Fulfillment is the channel that brings magic to the doors of our customers. We deliver food from our world-class restaurants, ensuring every order arrives perfectly, on time, every time. To achieve that, we rely on cutting edge technology - think complex ML algorithms and user-friendly interfaces to orchestrate a seamless delivery experience.

In this fast and growing role, you will be instrumental in scaling our delivery operations product suite, driving its growth from 1x to 100x. You will play a pivotal role in architecting the Dispatch Portal, a critical system that serves as the central hub for all delivery activity. The Dispatch Portal empowers field operations teams, customer support teams, and management teams, enabling them to monitor deliveries, make adjustments, set dispatch configurations, analyze metrics, and conduct root cause analysis. In addition, you will be at the forefront of powering the deliveries for new product offerings (e.g., Blue Apron, Marketplace, and more).  Your analytical expertise will be leveraged to design solutions that drive meaningful improvements in on-time delivery performance, reduction of delivery failures, and enhanced unit economics – all to power an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Help generate short- and long-term roadmaps for Wonder Fulfillment
  • Own product features in terms of feature definition, prioritization, testing and measuring impact
  • Talk to users frequently to understand their pain points, and work with stakeholders to prioritize requests/features among competing priorities
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, other PMs and product designers to deliver new features and improve existing features
  • Analyze data to generate user insights to assist in the prioritization and optimization of our products and features
  • Lead software development team in agile scrum rituals like sprint planning, daily standups, and backlog grooming
  • Have a strong understanding of or interest in the last mile delivery and logistics space.  Experience in this area is an added bonus
  • Minimal occasional domestic travel required to company sites

The experience you have

  • 4+ years product management experience
    • Preferably building products for operational users and a mix of user interfacing and backend products
  • Very strong analytic and quantitative skills; proficient in SQL or Python; ability to draw insights from data and influence stakeholders
  • Owned a roadmap and prioritized work for development teams
  • Proven ability to own metrics and deliver measurable improvements to key metrics
  • Persuasive written and verbal communication skills; can communicate clearly to diverse functions and teams; can explain complex details easily to non-technical stakeholders and experience communicating with leadership

The way you work

  • You are curious, believe that the best ideas can come from anywhere, are empathetic and you actively encourage participation from a wide range of stakeholders
  • You adapt to changing priorities and new initiatives
  • You are a self-starter and a leader, and not afraid to get your hands dirty - willing to perform your own analysis / get into the weeds to assess and identify root cause. You are able to persuasively articulate your solution to the root cause of a problem while also being able to disagree and commit in terms of hypothesis to be tested
  • You build trust by consistently delivering on your commitments, and intentionally and proactively communicating impediments that may delay those commitments
  • You are a team player, and are ready to help out if the team needs any
