Position Summary
The Repairs Coordinator administrates repair activities and Business Partner commercial requirements for repair of Breeze Airways Components. This position ensures aircraft components receive high-quality repairs, Business Partners are held accountable for their performance, and Breeze Airways achieves low CASM. As part of Business Partner management, the Coordinator analyzes data, identifies performance and warranty issues, and implements corrective action plans with the Business Partner. The Repairs Coordinator supports the special requirements related to high-cost engine shop repairs, repair flight hour agreements, and coordinating the purchase of high-dollar accessories and life-limited parts.
Essential Functions
- Ensure aircraft parts are routed to Breeze Business Partners and repaired within agreed turnaround time
- Monitor stock levels and ensure low stock items are prioritized for repair, including materials for powerplant repair as required
- Assist in coordinating parts/components movement to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including materials and tooling for powerplant repair, as required
- Review, negotiate, and approve repair and modification cost quotes and ensures overdue invoices are paid promptly
- Ensure compliance of the repair process with internal controls and General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
- Obtain corrective actions from Business Partners for units quarantined due to incorrect or lack of required documents
- Obtain Free of Charge loan units and other entitlements for items overdue from repair Business Partners
- Provide Breeze Engineering administrative support by providing requested paperwork associated with repaired units from vendors
- Provide Breeze Commercial administrative support by providing requested paperwork associated with component performance issues, warranty claims, and aircraft damage events
- Help ensure technical and reliability requirements are met in the repair process
- Run daily/weekly/monthly reports to support repair and payment processes
- Liaise with Strategic Sourcing and Repair Business Partners to administer contracts, including repair capabilities and Quarterly Review Meeting process
- Develop cost savings initiatives to reduce Breeze CASM
- Other duties as assigned by the Materials Manager
- Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent educational achievement
- 2+ years of aviation experience
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills
- Domestic and international travel required
- Must have a Valid Passport with the ability to fly unrestricted to/from the US
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Available for occasional overnight (up to 20%)
- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success
- Ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Maintenance & Engineering database (such as TRAX)
- 2- or 4-year degree in Aviation, Powerplant, Structures, Avionics, or Electronics
- Prior experience in any of the following: coordination of aircraft materials, coordination of aircraft component repairs, coordination of business partner performance, and/or warranty claims
- 2+ years experience in aircraft and engine parts procurement, or experience in other high-volume repairs or purchasing environments
- 2+ years inventory experience
- Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
