YOUR CHALLENGE:

  • You will co-lead the Payments and Invoicing pod – alongside the Engineering Manager – consisting of four developers. Your role involves guiding the empowered and outcome driven team through the scrum process, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring each member can deliver their best work. The pod is part of the guest domain (demand side), which consists of a total of 6 pods in which you have the opportunity to benefit from lively exchange and learnings.
  • You will be responsible for the global payment and invoicing strategy and vision.
  • Your role includes improving the payment flows on a global scale, supporting our business local districts around the world to provide smooth processes and to maximize payment and checkout conversion rates.
  • You will autonomously build and maintain a roadmap for the pod which aligns with Blacklane’s vision, strategy, and business goals while using data to drive your prioritization decisions.
  • You will Champion the evolution of our Payments and Invoicing systems by strategically managing and prioritizing the backlog, ensuring we deliver cutting-edge solutions that enhance our global operations and delight our customers.
  • You will be the voice of the customer, conducting interviews and carrying out research both quantitative and qualitative to identify pain points and validate hypotheses.
  • You will balance technical and process debt with the release of new features or enhancements to existing ones.
  • You will identify, monitor and analyze key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and optimization of payment processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Blacklane remains at the forefront of payment innovations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all payment and invoicing activities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by actively sharing knowledge and best practices across the business, empowering teams with the skills and insights needed to support customers with their payment and invoice queries.
