What you’ll do
- Develop and iterate our Corporate Strategy and identify focus area for M&A together with senior stakeholders and x-functional teams
- Build up a deal flow and be the first contact point for new M&A deals
- Assess M&A opportunities in terms of business model and fit with our corporate strategy together with x-functional internal teams across our markets
- Lead due diligence, research, analysis and documentation of transactions
- Manage and advise on transactions from origination through to execution, with a high degree of autonomy
- Manage internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure clear accountability and progress remains on track
- Prepare and present investment case materials to our investment committee, management team and share holders
- Post-M&A: oversee acquisitions and support the delivery of synergies
What you should bring
- 3 - 6 years experience in transaction advisory, execution or strategy consulting experience in a top consultancy, investment bank, investment firm or similar corporate function
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to align cross functional teams behind a strategy
- Relevant track record in managing and supporting earlier stages of transaction lifecycle from origination to due diligence (mergers, acquisitions, divestments, JVs)
- Strong analytical and modelling skills
- Team player with excellent verbal and written skills and demonstrated experience in communicating and influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong judgement and critical thinking skills, with the ability to articulate and present points of view and ideas effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- You have successfully completed your studies in economics, law, business or another related field
- Fluency in English, German is a plus
