The Customer Insights Manager is responsible for understanding the behaviors, needs, and preferences of AutoScout24’s users. By collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to user interactions with the brand, this role provides actionable insights that inform the brand strategy and optimize the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate will use both qualitative and quantitative research methods to develop a deep understanding of our target audience, helping to shape marketing strategies and enhance user engagement across all touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User & Market Research: Conduct and lead both qualitative and quantitative research to gather deep insights into customer behavior, preferences, pain points, and market trends. Research includes surveys, interviews, focus groups, and usability tests.
  • Persona Development: Create detailed user personas based on research to guide brand and marketing strategies, ensuring that all communications and campaigns resonate with target audiences.
  • Customer Segmentation & User Journeys: Develop and maintain detailed customer segmentation and user journey maps to better understand different customer segments and how they interact with the brand across channels.
  • Insight Sharing: Regularly provide insights, trends, and recommendations to the Brand Manager and other key stakeholders to support decision-making in brand messaging, product development, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze customer and market data to identify patterns, opportunities, and areas of improvement. Leverage user behavior data from web analytics, social media, and CRM platforms to inform actionable insights.
  • Competitor Analysis: Keep up with industry trends and competitor activities to provide benchmarking and identify opportunities for differentiation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in user research, market research, or customer insights (3+ years).
  • Strong proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Experience in creating user personas, customer segmentation, and mapping user journeys.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present insights to stakeholders.
  • Experience with research tools (e.g., surveys, focus groups, interviews) and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, CRM systems).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in English (required) and German is a plus
