About the role
As our new Product Manager – Pricing and Trade Recommendation you’ll take the helm in revolutionizing the way dealers, OEMs, and fleet owners navigate the European used car market! Your mission? To craft and execute a cutting-edge pricing and trade recommendation strategy that amplifies our mission of empowering automotive professionals across Europe.
You'll spearhead the development and implementation of AutoProff’s Pricing and Trade Recommendation strategy. From pricing optimization to crafting irresistible car descriptions and generating top-notch sell/buy recommendations, you'll be the driving force behind aligning our strategies with our business objectives, ensuring unparalleled success for both sellers and buyers.
AutoProff's success has been driven by our successful track record of using data to set accurate and competitive car pricing, which will continue to be a cornerstone of our business and strategy as we accelerate our offerings throughout Europe.
Data is at the heart of our business, and this role will be critical for AutoProff to outpace the competition as we are positioning us as a pan-European market leader.
You will also work with peers across AutoScout24 Group to build a holistic view on how we as a group can leverage our position across markets and products (e.g., autoscout24.com, autoscout24.de/smyle, and leasingmarkt.de) to provide quality pricing and high-quality trade recommendations.
Let's dive into your key responsibilities, you will
- Work in a cross-functional team with skilled co-workers, together responsible for delighting our customers with products that help them source and sell (trade-in and stock) cars at the right price
- Lead by example and be extremely driven by leveraging data insights to drive product innovation and support business objectives
- Collaborate with executive leadership to drive data-centric decision-making across the organization
- Oversee pricing and trade recommendation related activities, ensuring data integrity, providing ongoing updates on the competitive landscape, spotting and detecting new data sources, enrichment data, and staying at the forefront of trends within AI/ML
- Together with our technology leader in this field, ensure that our design, development, and maintenance of data infrastructure and systems meet business needs
- Stay up to date with of the latest trends and advancements in data technology and analytics.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and drive continuous improvement in data processes and capabilities.
- Build strong relationships with peers at AutoScout24 to leverage the strength of being part of a larger company with invaluable insights into dealer inventory across Europe
The need-to-have skills
- Robust background in product management, with significant experience in utilizing and building data products
- Proven experience in a leadership role, managing teams and driving data and product strategy
- Proficiency in engineering and product management tools (e.g. Jira, Figma, Miro)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
