Vice President, Business Development

As a Vice President, Business Development at atai Life Sciences, you will: 

  • Drive business development activities including identifying potential opportunities, prioritizing actionable leads, and conducting early-stage outreach
  • Manage and develop our global partnership network and drive targeted initiatives to deepen key industry relationships (enhance existing platform)
  • Manage the pipeline of new strategic partnership opportunities (expand existing platform)
  • Drive structured in-and-out-licensing activities and thus extend and leverage the impact of our programs
  • Collaborate closely with the Investment team to effectively manage deal flow
  • Create a strong network of key industry-leading companies and individuals, in big pharma and beyond
  • Represent atai during external calls or conferences and expand our network with industry players

These qualifications will get us excited to get to know you better:

  • Degree in Natural/Life Sciences required (e.g., Biopharma, Chemistry, Neuroscience), strong scientific background (PhD in relevant field)
  • >8 years in the Life Science Branch (bio/pharma/medtech, business development, alliance and/or partnership management, finance/M&A, VC/PE, investment banking, consulting, TTO or similar)
  • Extensive network within the CNS innovation space (biotech, big pharma, digital therapeutics)
  • 5+ years’ people management experience
  • Good knowledge of current affairs, business, and markets
