We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic intern to join our Early Development Chapter as an In Vitro Pharmacology/Operations Intern. This internship opportunity will provide exposure to various aspects of in vitro pharmacology research in the biotech industry, including study operations and data management. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and work alongside experienced scientists in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

The specifics of your day-to-day will include:

  • Advance non-clinical scientific efforts by managing outsourced in vitro pharmacology research, which may include requesting study quotes, coordinating compound shipments, critically evaluating data and analyzing results.
  • Maintain internal scientific databases.
  • Provide additional operational support, such as executing contracts and managing budget- and contract-tracking spreadsheets.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to scientific discussions.

Qualifications/experience that we'd like to see:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmacology, Cellular or Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, Biotechnology, or a related discipline).
  • Strong knowledge of in vitro biology fundamentals and laboratory techniques.
  • Hands-on research experience using cell-based assays.
  • Understanding of G protein-coupled receptor- and neuroplasticity-related cellular assays is highly desirable.
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Office, data analysis, and basic statistical analysis software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both on your own and collaboratively in a virtual team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for biotechnology and a desire to contribute to the field.
