Rockwood Casualty Insurance Company, a division of Argo Group, is the leading underwriter of voluntary workers' comp insurance for the coal mining industry in Pennsylvania, and licensed to write business in 49 states. Rockwood’s primary function of our Claims Operations Support Assistant is to provide clerical support to claims adjusters in the daily management of claims.

 

SCOPE OF WORK

· Process tasks for claims adjusters; pay drafts, closings, short terms, reserve changes,

lost time set ups, reserve changes, reopens, formula, suits

· Process paperwork for daily underwriting tasks; cancelations, reinstatements, new business, renewals, endorsements

· Process monthly invoices for insureds and agents

· Proof data entries for regulatory reporting

· Assist with postal mail

· Provide back-up support to mail room; opening and scanning mail

 

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

· Perform work in a logical, orderly & skillful manner

· Maintain a level of high-quality work

· Use proper protocol & instructions when making decisions

· Keep manual errors to a minimum; accuracy is required

· Can work independently with minimal supervision

· Safeguard confidential information
