Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. What You’ll Do - Support trades to define the final electrical power distribution system architecture for eVTOL aircraft. Create, validate and verify equipment, subsystem and system level requirements (ARP4754). - Provide support to safety activities (ARP4761). - Create and review engineering deliverables from development to certification. - Contact and assess supplier capabilities and work with other systems and teams.
What You Need: - Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or foreign equivalent. - Plus 5 years of experience as Senior Systems Engineer, Product Development Engineer or related. - Experience to include a specialty in Parts 23 and 25 aircraft electrical power and lighting systems for product development and certification, including technical requirements definition, validation and verification; MATLAB and Simulink, equipment qualification per RTCA DO-160, ARPs 4754 and 4761. Experience working with aviation authorities in US and abroad and project management with worldwide suppliers. - 20% domestic and possibly international travel.
