Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What You’ll Do
Build, mentor and inspire a world class team with expertise in avionics integration and test and a strong focus on automation.
Lead the build and management of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Flight Controls & Avionics Integration labs.
Define and continuously improve processes to develop verification procedures, execute non-conforming and comforming tests, and document test results.
Select tools and ensure that the verification tools are qualified as needed to comply with the RTCA DO-330 standard.
Propose and manage budgets and resources for the team, define roadmaps and schedules, organize and prioritize the work, track and communicate progress.
Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) both to assess the maturity of the design under test, and to continuously improve the efficiency of our infrastructure and test processes.
Foster team collaboration, promote and support personal development.
What You Need
10+ years of experience in a related field.
2+ year experience as a hiring manager.
Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
Experience with requirements based testing, preferably applying ARP4754A, DO-178C, or similar guidelines.
Experience with continuous integration & test tools like TeamCity or Jenkins, and test automation frameworks.
Experience with at least one scripting language, preferably Python.
Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS.
Background using Polarion, DOORS or similar requirements management tools.
Excellent technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Bonus Qualifications
Degree in engineering management, technical management, or business administration.
Experience with tool qualification complying with the RTCA DO-330 standard.
Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
