Help Us Shape the Future of Data

With over 15 million users, Anaconda is the world’s most popular Python data science platform. Anaconda, Inc. continues to lead open source projects like Anaconda, NumPy, and SciPy that form the foundation of modern data science. Anaconda’s flagship product, Anaconda Enterprise, allows organizations to secure, govern, scale, and extend Anaconda to deliver actionable insights that drive businesses and industries forward.

Anaconda is seeking people who want to play a role in shaping the future of enterprise AI, machine learning, and data science. We strive to create a culture that is both relaxed and focused, and we stress empathy and collaboration with our customers, open source users, and each other. Our primary employee perk is that we are actively working on projects that have a global impact.

Anaconda is seeking a talented, creative designer who creates beautiful and effective solutions within the full width and breadth of the marketing and branding landscape for both print and digital media. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the company’s visual identity and guidelines, as well as creating and managing all design elements of our website, landing pages, marketing collateral, slide decks, training materials, event displays, visual social media content and more. In addition, you will serve as the steward of the Anaconda brand, enabling the entire company to embrace and use the identity and branded tools properly - less of a “brand cop” and more of a “brand enabler”.

You are both very creative and profoundly practical - with a fundamental understanding of when each of those talents should be brought to bear. You have a beautifully-tuned eye, a can-do approach, understanding of how to move from concept to execution, and demonstrated proficiency in brand design. You are comfortable owning both the strategy for our visual brand as well as executing the bulk of our design production. You also understand how design work contributes to business objectives, and you want to be a part of helping a young company grow through the direct impact of your work. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your skills and passion to drive demand and engagement, and to gain new skills in the world of data science and analytics.

What You’ll Do:

  • Concept, develop and execute a wide variety of design projects for events, campaigns, digital ads, marketing collateral, web, mobile, social and email
  • Evolve the Anaconda identity and design language to align to modern design trends and create a distinctive brand
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and other teams to develop high-impact design solutions and identity tools, and to enable and ensure their proper use
  • Manage vendors and contract resources (web developer, designer, video production) as necessary

Required experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design with a minimum of 5 years of experience, at least 2 of which should be client-side
  • An online portfolio of design work exhibiting strong aesthetic and typographic skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of branding and brand standards
  • Experience with design for both digital and print, including conference and tradeshow signage and materials
  • Strong production skills and mastery of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
  • Proficiency with Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint, including template development
  • Experience with WordPress, HTML, and CSS
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, balanced with strong collaboration skills
  • Good communication, project management, and problem solving skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in enterprise software or open source a plus

Why you’ll like working here:

  • Dynamic company that rewards high-performers
  • Be on the cutting edge of new technologies and services
  • Your contribution moves the business forward
  • Collaborative team environment that values multiple perspectives and fresh thinking
  • Employees-first culture
  • Casual dress code
  • Flexible working hours
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, Life and 401K
  • Pre-IPO stock options
  • Open Vacation policy
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave
