Role: Software Development Engineer in Test (Build and Release)

Location: Gurugram OR Remote, India

**This role requires Core Work Hours from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am IST (will change as per daylight saving in US). The remaining hours are completed at individual discretion.**

Role Characteristics:

Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. They might provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.

Seeking a Build and Release Engineer for our team who is responsible for automating the build and release systems supporting the development of WeatherBug’s applications.

You will:

• Maintain and improve the team’s build and release pipelines for mobile, web and backend platforms to ensure timely delivery of high quality software
• Create and maintain build and test scripts
• Perform monitoring and take action to troubleshoot and fix build and release issues
• Create and track release notes for each version of the software
• Design, document, estimate, and build features for test automation systems
• Collaborate with the development and QA team to support requested CICD features for rapid iteration
• Work with the team to prioritize, coordinate, and execute test automation tasks
• Write peer-reviewed tests and participate in code-reviews to maintain and improve code quality, stability, maintainability, and supportability
• Provide help and guidance to less experienced engineers
• Other job-related duties as assigned

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience in software development
• 3+ years supporting CICD pipelines for mobile and web applications
• 1+ years managing a build pipeline using Jenkins
• 3+ years with iOS and Android build environments and tools such as XCode, Cocoapods, fastlane, Android Studio, Gradle, Artifactory
• Experience with server side deployment using Spinnaker, Artifactory and AWS
• Experience with Charles, Python, Appium, Java/Groovy, Pytest-BDD, Git, and AWS cloud computing environments
• Ability to troubleshoot high complexity issues
• Ability to communicate across all teams within the organization to provide solutions
• Ability to take a given problem and execute a solution

Would be great if you have:

• Experience, in general, in the weather industry
• Knowledge of the advertising industry
• MS degree in Computer Science
