As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer at Waymark, you will serve as a builder and connector in the ideation and deployment of new software tools used by community health workers, social workers, pharmacists, and medical assistants to enable comprehensive care for low-income patients. This is a position for a person with the passion for social justice and improvement of health outcomes, who wants to apply their skills in linking frontend to backend processes, building around human-centered system designs, and working with a diverse group of providers, designers, data scientists, and fellow engineers to solve major healthcare problems.
Coordinate with the full stack, data, and devops engineers to ensure the automated test suite is comprehensive and integrated with our CI/CD pipeline
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test scenarios, and test cases
Develop automation scripts implementing the detailed test plans
Implement methodology and tools for capturing software testing metrics related to code coverage and testing coverage
Track QA metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts
Create, update, and maintain detailed documentation on testing processes and procedures.
Monitor new testing tools and assess compatibility with testing strategies
5+ years of industry experience in quality assurance development and writing automated tests
Work experience in a software quality assurance environment using automated testing tools, such as Cypress.io
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes and a continued pursuit of new developments in the field
Skilled in React/Node.js
Effectively give and receive feedback, both positive and constructive
Experience with performance and/or security testing
Experience working in a container-based development environment
Experience with cross-browser testing services such as Browserstack
Healthcare experience with healthcare data, privacy, and/or systems including claims and/or electronic health record data, FHIR/HL7, etc.
