Vixxo is seeking a full-time, Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist to be based in Scottsdale, AZ.

THE ROLE

The Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for providing support to financial teams related to full cycle Accounts Payable process for Vixxo. The Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist will also make recommendations for system enhancements and modifications to policy related to Accounts Payable process and procedure and support the implementation of related changes.

TOP RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice approval in compliance with Delegation of Authority, GL coding of all invoices, invoice entry and preparation of weekly payments via ACH, credit card and checks. This includes collaborating and partnering with internal teams and our outsource resources.
  • Develop vendor relationships, timely correspondence with all vendors, statement reconciliation and review of escalated accounts.
  • Continuous review of current process in search of process improvement including streamlining approval process, invoice entry and processing payments. This involves creating and maintaining standard operating procedures that are current and accurate.
  • Own monthly AP close process including accruals and collaboration with Accounting Team, including supporting annual audit requests as needed.
  • Other duties can include:
    • Supporting travel and entertainment setup, review, audit and processing (Concur Solutions).
    • Treasury management back up, including loading ACH payment files to the bank, sales tax payments, bank research related to reconciliations and Positive Pay exceptions.
    • Assist with maintenances of various credit card programs, including setups, changes, and month end reconciliations of charges.
    • Help to research and troubleshoot queries and questions from vendors.
    • Support, cross-train, and serve as backup for other team members as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate Degree in Finance or Accounting with minimum of 5 years relevant experience or 10+ years of Accounts Payable experience is required.
  • High proficiency Excel skills are required.
  • JD Edwards experience is preferred, SAP by Design experience a plus.
  • Experience with travel and entertainment applications is preferred.
  • Exposure to varying corporate credit card programs a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word is required.
