Vixxo is seeking a full-time Senior Cloud Engineer to work out of our Dallas, Texas, or Scottsdale, Arizona, offices.

(Hybrid Model - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office)

 

Position Summary:

Our ideal candidate is one who is passionate about their career and has proven success with what they do. In this role, you will be the technical lead for server and cloud technologies as a member of the IT Operations and Cybersecurity team. You will work collaboratively with nearshore and offshore resources to build optimized, cloud-centric hosted services for the public (Azure/AWS/Oracle) clouds. You will design and implement services for high availability, resiliency, performance, and disaster recovery. You will deploy a mix of Microsoft Server and Azure solutions and technologies supported by other systems administrators. You will support the server infrastructure with a specific emphasis on building and delivering systems to the business and diagnosing issues impacting applications and services. The successful candidate should be able to research, design, and implement hardware and software solutions. You will also maintain the day-to-day operations and assure the reliability and availability of all the infrastructure services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Technical lead for Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, and AWS (PaaS/laaS) Services.
  • Technical lead for M365 E5 Services (Office 365, Enterprise Mobility, Windows 10, Security, Compliance, and Cloud App Security)
  • Technical Lead for Windows Services administrator and supporting applications.
  • Administrator of Line of Business Applications
  • Contributes to DevSecOps and Cybersecurity operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience managing cloud infrastructure environments.
  • 1-3 years of management or team lead experience.
  • Drive strategic and complex projects with executive visibility and many critical dependencies. 
  • Manage modernization, architecture, disaster recovery, and business transformation processes.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proven experience configuring Microsoft M365 E5-specific services related to Office, Security, and Windows
  • Demonstrated experience managing Microsoft M365 E5-specific services in a security operations perspective.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019, Azure, Office 365, AWS, etc.
  • Proven experience with Access and Authentication technologies like Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Azure MFA, Azure B2C, Azure Conditional Access, etc.
  • Must have proven experience with building, deploying, and running with automation scripts in PowerShell.
  • Assessing Cloud infrastructure to capture current operating costs and propose future improvements to customer technical and business teams.
  • Resolve complex technical issues.
  • Responsible for regular log review process, identifying any risks to the service, and ensuring appropriate remedial actions are taken.
  • Support the operations of IT infrastructure under strict change control and documentation processes.
  • Automate repetitive functions via scripting.
  • Design and provide solutions that fit the requirements of the project stakeholders, customers, and end-users, conforming to the standards established by the IT organization.
  • Using assessments of vulnerabilities, sources of threats, and current security guidance to determine the effectiveness of mitigation plans.

  • ITIL-OSA, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, and Azure certifications.
