The Research Associate will work closely with cross-functional teams, supporting the research and development of rapid tests for infectious diseases. This position requires standard laboratory and strong collaboration skills. Experience with PCR, thermocyclers, and a willingness to learn new techniques will be critical.
Primary QMS Responsibilities:
Read and understand all assigned QMS documents.
Follow GLP guidelines in documenting all work.
Follow work instructions and properly document work forms as per Good Laboratory Practices. May update documents and submit DCO’s.
Primary Non-QMS Responsibilities:
Compile data and results then plan the next experiment with the guidance of a senior level team member.
Plan and execute specific laboratory experiments with some guidance.
Prepare and deliver presentations as needed.
Is observant when running experiments. May be responsible for some troubleshooting.
May be shadowed by new team members while conducting laboratory experiments as needed.
May provide data and/or present information to external partners. Also, may participate in seminars and scientific conferences.
Keep work areas clean and organized. Participate in laboratory decontamination efforts.
Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree. No experience required with a Master's degree.
Proficient in basic laboratory skills and the use of complex laboratory equipment such as thermocyclers.
