The Technical Training Specialist at Visby Medical is responsible for providing training on the company’s diagnostic testing solutions at new customer sites. The ideal candidate will be independent, self-motivated, results oriented, highly customer-focused and have an engaging presence. This role will be integral to the build out of Visby Medical’s technical training team. Note: This position requires 50% travel, possibly to include weekends and holidays.
Essential Duties
Design innovative solutions geared at improving training effectiveness
Develop training aids such as training handbooks/instructions, visual aids, and videos to ensure customers have the necessary tools to successfully operate the Visby Test.
Deliver engaging live training sessions on Visby products and best lab practices to new customers
Coordinate administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
Support our customers by proactively providing technical resources and assistance
Provide frequent and actionable customer feedback and observations to management and make recommendations for improvements where necessary
Update training materials on a regular basis to reflect process changes and feature updates
Quickly become a product expert with a strong understanding of our products and industry
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a life science or health science discipline, or Healthcare degree, or equivalent years of experience in the healthcare field
Experience in a clinical lab as a lab technician preferred; other experience in a clinical setting may be substituted. Comfortability in lab settings required.
5 years of experience delivering training to both technical and non-technical users is strongly preferred; other teaching experience may be substituted
Other Qualifications
Familiarity with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulations strongly preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to confidently articulate and communicate scientific concepts such as, PCR, reverse transcription, and pathogenic organisms and their resulting infections, to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Must be available to travel up to 50% of the time to possibly include weekends and holidays; ability to obtain a passport for international travel, as requested. NO TRAVEL REQUIRED DURING COVID-19

Fast learner and willing to take on challenges of learning new techniques and tools
