Summary
The QC Supervisor is an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with great communication skills responsible for leading a high performing team of QC analysts to execute Visby’s QC processes in the lab environment and achieve goals in safety, quality, productivity, and costs.
Essential Duties
Creating, updating, and reviewing QC laboratory standard operating procedures and supporting work instructions for efficiency and product quality.
Documenting process deviations and non-conformances as applicable. Leading investigations when failures occur and escalating to the failure investigation team, when appropriate.
Leading team to execute qualification or method validation test protocols and document the resulting data in a test report.
Plan, organize, and supervise the daily work schedule to support QC testing of raw and intermediate goods, finished goods, and materials being tested as part of the stability program.
Coordinate with other departments to resource testing of R&D prototypes.
Work cross functionally with R&D to transfer new methods to the QC team.
Maintain reagent and consumable inventory and coordinate the PM and calibration of QC owned equipment.
Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
BS in a science field is required; Biology, Chemistry, or related discipline a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience; Quality Control lab experience is preferred.
