What You'll Be Doing:

A critical leader within the platform team, and working directly with the CTO, you will inform and execute our strategy for long term data platform architecture. You’ll work cross-functionally will collaborate with analytics and business teams to create and improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization. You will work with engineering, and information security, and product teams to ensure data is accessed smartly, efficiently, and securely across the business while contributing to sprints with high-quality data solutions that meet business requirements. And you will also work with key partners, to test, share, and integrate data capabilities to accelerate the business.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement business data models
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ingest and transform business data from disparate data sources and services into a centralized, normalized, and well defined business intelligence warehouse
  • Work closely with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to design and optimize data models for our production and staging environments, to ensure secure and efficient access to our data
  • Work with software architects to design our overall data strategy consistent with industry best practices
  • Be the key consultant within the company on all matters related to structuring, normalizing, querying, and troubleshooting data
  • Help ideate new opportunities, by exploring the impact of potential data integrations with key partners, customers, or business systems
  • Platform team sprint deliverables are met on time and with quality data solutions to meet business requirements

About You:

  • 5+ years experience developing data warehouse solutions preferably in python
  • 5+ years of SQL experience (No-SQL experience is a plus)
  • 1+ years of experience with Snowflake
  • 2+ years of experience with Postgres, RDS and other AWS technologies
  • 5+ years experience developing data warehouse solutions
  • 5+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
  • 3+ years proficiency with at least one of Ruby, Go, or Python
  • Experience working with external APIs, and preferably building APIs
  • Ability to collaborate with teams across the company
