Reporting to: Senior Director, Client Services

Location: Calgary, AB (hybrid)

 

Position Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Director, Client Services, the Business Development Associate sources new business, maintains client relationships and provides clients with consultative solutions for their resource requirements. In addition, the position sources, assesses and selects fitting candidates that match client requirements. The Business Development Associate is required to meet and exceed metrics and develop a network of contacts through which prospective clients are obtained, thus leading to future business.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities 

● Develop relationships with senior-level contacts through email, phone, and in-person meetings

● Build new business through client visits, cold calls, and sales leads

● Develop a pipeline of requisitions through the ongoing prospecting of client companies

● Meet/exceed standards and goals for interactions, client visits, job requisitions, and placements

● Negotiate fees, billing rates, and service agreement terms with current and prospective clients

● Maintain a high level of service to existing clients; manage the full cycle customer relationship, including after-sales service

● Participate in corporate marketing activities, such as conferences, trade shows, and other events, as required

● Provide timely solutions for clients to fulfill their talent needs

● Represent and cross-sell Vaco divisions to key clients, and potential clients

● All other duties as required

 

About You

  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree, preferably in Business Administration 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales (staffing preferred)
  • A track record of high performance and ability to develop business through relationship building
  • Strong time management and organization skills are needed to meet daily and weekly metrics
  • You are a confident, self-motivated, smart, witty, honest, competitive team player who brings a large amount of enthusiasm and energy to the workplace
  • Bring your A game. You’ll need a positive attitude, motivation and a competitive edge to complement a top performing team
