Responsibilities:
- Pricing Strategy & Analysis (with P&L focus):
- Conduct in-depth market research to understand competitive pricing, customer behavior, and industry trends.
- Analyze different margin drivers including product cost, advertisement, retailer margin, and others to determine optimal pricing strategies that maximize profitability.
- Support in the implementation of pricing strategies that balance profitability, market competitiveness, and customer value, with a keen eye on the impact on the P&L.
- Utilize data analytics tools to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies in relation to profitability and revenue goals, recommending adjustments as needed.
- Identify and quantify the potential impact of pricing changes on revenue, market share, and profitability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Deal Support:
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as Brand Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment and support for pricing strategies (This is a highly collaborative role!).
- Support the development of deals, promotions, and digital media placements, ensuring they are both effective in driving sales and maintain healthy profit margins.
- Clearly communicate complex pricing data and recommendations to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
- Remain a key point of contact for project inquiries and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in pricing analysis, competitive intelligence, or a similar role, with a strong understanding of P&Ls.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools, especially strong knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent understanding of pricing principles and their impact on consumer behavior, market share, and profitability.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of SQL (a plus).
- Experience in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry (a plus).
- Experience with e-commerce and/or Amazon pricing strategies (a plus).
