Job Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sales Executive to lead new account acquisitions and grow our presence in retail and wholesale channels. This role is essential in introducing our CPG products to new markets, expanding our client base, and increasing brand visibility in retail and wholesale environments. The ideal candidate has a strong background in sales, a deep understanding of the CPG landscape (pet, nail care, wellness), and a proven track record of securing new accounts in a competitive market. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • New Business Development: Identify, target, and secure new retail and wholesale accounts for our expanding CPG product line, with a focus on driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships. 
  • Market Research & Strategy: Conduct market research to identify potential retail and wholesale clients. Develop tailored sales strategies that align with each client’s goals, helping to position our products effectively in their stores. 
  • Account Management: Build and nurture relationships with new retail and wholesale clients to foster long-term partnerships. Act as the primary contact, providing ongoing support and addressing client needs to ensure high customer satisfaction. 
  • Sales Pitching and Presentations: Develop compelling presentations and sales pitches for new CPG products that highlight key features, benefits, and market differentiators. Tailor pitches to align with each prospect’s specific needs and goals. 
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, leveraging CRM tools to track progress, follow up on leads, and report on sales activities and outcomes to management. 
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure that new accounts are onboarded smoothly and receive the necessary support to maximize sales. 
  • Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs for account acquisitions, revenue growth, and client retention. Regularly analyze and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve goals. 

Key Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Experience in CPG Sales: 2+ years of experience in sales, specifically within the CPG industry, with a track record of securing new retail and wholesale accounts. 
  • Strong Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate favorable terms and secure partnerships with retailers and wholesalers, ensuring profitability and brand positioning. 
  • Market and Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of the CPG landscape, including trends, buyer behavior, and product positioning within retail environments. 
  • Self-Motivated and Results-Driven: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on achieving measurable sales outcomes. 
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills: Skilled in developing and delivering engaging presentations to potential clients, with the ability to communicate complex product information in an accessible way. 
  • CRM Proficiency: Experienced in using CRM systems for sales tracking, pipeline management, and reporting. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
