Opportunity Overview 

TuSimple’s 3DX/PLM Application Manager is a member of a growing Quality Engineering team and the incumbent ensures that the Dassault 3DX platform is properly configured, integrated, supported, and correctly used. Using acquired technical and business analyst/system skills, the individual supports the design and roll-out of new functionality to support the optimal usage of the software for users. This will require supporting the migration from our current PLM system to a more advanced solution. 

The 3DX/PLM Application Manager works with internal clients to understand requirements and develop solutions using a variety of tools and techniques. This individual undertakes application administration, custom query and report creation, end-user support, training, troubleshooting, and documenting business processes and procedures

Role Responsibilities

  • Partakes in the overarching administration and management/configuration of Dassault 3DX
  • Undertakes technical and system administration, including data integration of Dassault 3DX to NetSuite, running metric reports, and fixing user issues. 
  • Responsible for functional and technical requirements, system configuration, data integrity, and all system-related policies and procedures. Defines and writes functional requirements based on staff business needs.
  • Provides front line support with regards to all aspects of the Dassault 3DX platform in compliance with service level objectives (SLO’s).
  • Creates metric reports for TuSimple teams and departments. 
  • Reviews and customizes Dassault 3DX as needed to service the business. 
  • Maintains/Creates the user documentation, training and FAQs for Dassault 3DX
  • Keeps  in compliance with safety, government regulations, and company standards.
  • Ensures that all components of the Dassault 3DX are configured correctly and users are utilizing the system appropriately in order to ensure system integrity.
  • Collaborates with IT/Infosec to establish best practices when using the Dassault 3DX platform.
  • Develops and implements policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the quality of data and performs regular data audits; resolves data integrity issues.
  • Develops, administers functional tests, and executes on rollouts of customizations, custom objects, new enhancements, application releases, and system integration based on user/business needs.
  • Develops, documents and follows formal policies, procedures, and protocols for changes, customization, standards, usage, etc.
  • Develops strong working relationships with vendors and uses any feedback to help improve the process in general.
  • Expeditiously creates tickets with vendors to resolve problems that require their engagement.
  • Occasionally performs administrative tasks for other enterprise applications.
  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships across the organization. 
  • Provides guidance and system training to new and current members of the team, as required.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Experience in the ground up build-out of PLM solutions
  • Experience working in start-up as well as established organizational environments
  • Expertise in data migration from legacy systems to 3DX platform.
  • Expertise in 3DX Installation, Environment Setup, Integration and Configuration.
  • 3DX Platform knowledge & experience
  • 3DX application implementation experience including but not limited to: ENOVIA, Cameo (CATIA No Magic), CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, Altium, DELMIA Apriso
  • Extensive working & troubleshooting experience in Dassault Systems’ suite of products
  • 3rd Party integration experience
  • Strong background in Windows and Linux environments
  • Must have strong knowledge of application production environment
  • Knowledge of interfacing ERP (NetSuite), MRP, MES operational/organizational platforms 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Explorer) and/or G-Suite tools
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to coordinate multiple tasks and support projects of varying complexity in parallel within tight deadlines.
  • Natural problem solver; analytical and oriented towards diagnosis and remediation.
