The Data & Analytics team at TULA is growing, and we are looking for an Analytics Engineer. This role will own the ETL process, data validation, data warehousing and data modeling concepts and practices. This role will work closely with the data analysts and business stakeholders on the team to ensure ETL is validated, up-to-date and tested for analysis.

This role reports to the Director of Analytics & Strategic Insights and is based in TULA headquarters - located in NoMad, NYC (although we are currently working remotely of course!)

Key Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with data analysts, business channel owners, and other engineers on solving data integrations and/or establishing data collection and storage
  • Provide clean data sets to end users, modeling data in a way that empowers end users to answer their own questions
  • Develop and maintain data workflows to ingest, validate, test and model data to support analytics and business operations needs
  • Advance modern, agile software development practices and help build data engineering and organizational practices
  • Be accountable for technical delivery and work with your team and stakeholders on strategy and execution
  • Learn from the team and on your own what you might not know about data infrastructure, business operations, and open source tooling to make you a stronger asset to the team


  • 5+ years of overall experiences with 2+ years of experience in the analytics, data engineer field
  • Strong understanding of ETL, data warehousing and data modeling concepts (ie. Star Schema)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with cleaning and optimizing SQL (required)
  • Proficiency with Python skills (preferred)
  • Experience with data warehouse solutions (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)
  • Familiarity with business intelligence solutions (Looker, Tableau, Periscope, Mode) and LookML
  • Familiarity with dbt (preferred)
  • Experience in ecommerce startup environment (prefered)
